Some people are just smart!
The truth is, if your work area is a cluttered mess, more than likely, so is your mind! It’s spring and we’ve all heard of spring cleaning so let’s get to it.
First of all, determine how serious you need to be. Do you have a complete disaster area? Do you have just a few things to remove or are you a neatnick and only have to straighten a little. Of course there are those out there that did not even read this post because they so don’t need it!
Things you need to think through before you begin-
Now lets determine which category you’re in…..Are you a “disaster”? A fewby? A neatnick? Where are you in this whole situation?
Disaster Folks- If you’re in this category, you simply must completely take out everything from the area and start fresh and new. You may even need help, especially if organization is a difficult thing for you. There is no shame in asking a gifted person in this area to help you. They may even be happy to do it. Most neatnics would be happy to help.
Just a Little Straightening Needed- Maybe you’re in this category. Spend a little bit of time looking through some magazines and get some ideas for regrouping what you have. This may inspire you to toss, rework, reduce or restack some things.
Neatnick- If you’re already neat, you just need to straighten, tighten and maybe rework. You just need to take the time, so just take it. You’ll be glad you did.
Well, you became a part of the people list when you were born. Now you can be on the “tweeple” list if you’ll just join Twitter! Twitter is a social networking website. The purpose of being on Twitter is first to have a ton of fun telling others what you’re doing and finding out what others are doing but also to literally “network”.
Twitter allows you opportunity to follow others in their endeavors on the internet and in life and in turn, they follow you.
Don’t miss this great opportunity! Join Twitter today… and hey, follow me! (I’ll follow ya’ back!).
Bookmarks are a great way to allow people to simply “click” your “Twitter” or “Facebook” or another networking site. I found this site which offers this product. You might be interested. “WP Social Bookmark Menu is a Wordpress plugin that inserts menu of social bookmarking site icons in each of your blog post to make it easier for your reader to bookmarks your blog. You can watch this plugin in action in this blog.”

Many people have an idea that they want to have a website built for them. They want to have their own blog but they just don’t understand what is needed.
You may want your own site. You would, perhaps like to add photographs, list the things that you did today on a site or communicate with others using a website but you just don’t know where to begin.
Well, one thing that is important is to understand the basics of webbing so I’m going to share a few things with you that might help.
1. First, you need an idea about what you want for a website. What is your purpose? What do you want to put on your site? Do you want to provide information, sell things, offer your advise or just have a storefront look for others to visit? What do you want with a website?
2. You will need a hosting company. A hosting company basically provides for you the “land” on which your website sits. Every website has a hosting company.
3. You need then, a web front. You might use cubecart or wordpress, Geeklog, Drupal, Joomla or some other web design software. You could have someone build you a website or “housing” for your website.
4. Then you would need to add your own information. Once a website is built, that is when the person owning that site can add info.
A lot of people are getting a website that they use just for communication. Others are beginning their own businesses. The world wide web is an exciting place to be and there are so many opportunities for web design.
Let us know if we can help you. We can help you find hosting, get a web design and even help you with content for your site. Just let us know. I can be reached at info@webanddesign.net

Many times when I recommend people buying their name on the internet and tell them to begin a blog, they ask “why”?
I bought my first domain or website name in 1994. It was right about that time that I realized that the internet would one day be “the” place of connection for us humans. Somehow I “got it” then that the average person would one day have his or her own web page and would communicate on a daily basis using this form of communication.
Well, not “everyone” has his or her name but a great many do and in time, I still believe that the internet will be just as important or more so or even integrated as and with the phone.
So, I recommend that everyone buy his or her name. I bought mine so I’m ready!
I still recommend that you buy Yours…

Every internet blog, business or website needs a web name. This is what helps a website, blog or business have a real presence. If you are interested in having your own website, it is important for you to secure a web name. We can help you get your own web name on the internet. Here are a few tips for website naming:
Step One- Website names are called “domains”. In other words, http://www.namehere.info is a domain name. http://www.webanddesign.net is a website name or “domain”. In order to have your own business name or personal name, you would need to secure a domain name. Please allow us to help you. At this time in the world, literally millions of domain names have been registered. If a name has already been registered, it is in the ownership of the person who registered it. I registered www.webanddesign.net and so I am the owner of this domain name. You can own your own name or business name. Let us help you find your name on the internet.
Step Two-You may want to get your own name or the actual name of your business. You may want to get letters that represent your business. For example, some businesses get the actual name of their business like “Yahoo.com” while others get letters such as “aa.com” for American Airlines. And still others get their personal name. Most importantly, you must determine what name you want for your business or blog.
Step Three- Keep the name you choose as short as possible and choose a name that represents you or your business and what you’re about. Avoid extra characters such as dashes or dots in your domain selection.
Step Four- Choose a name that is easy for people to remember, easy to spell and that means something important and significant to you.
Last- Domain names can have great value so be sure to register the name in which you choose and keep up with the renewal date so that you don’t lose it. Many people have the actual business of buying domains in order to sell and resell them so it will be important for you to keep your name secure.
